Metal Fountains

Maintenance of metal fountains will vary dramatically depending on the design, location, and material. Traditional iron fountains behave much like similar concrete fountains. Over time, iron and aluminum can become deeply oxidized and pitted. If this is the case with your fountain we can work with you to have the surface cleaned and powder coated before reinstalling at your site.

Copper fountains naturally kill algae that might grow in them but this also makes them unsafe for aquatic animal such as fish and mollusks.

All metal fountains should be properly winterized prior to freezing weather as even small amounts of ice can cause cracking, deformation, or bending of the metal.
